IST Transactions of MSTA publishes papers in all fields of mechanics. Although investigations in well established areas are within the scope of the journal, recent developments and innovative ideas are particularly welcome. Theoretical, computational and experimental papers are equally welcome. Mathematical methods, be they deterministic or stochastic, analytical or numerical, will be accepted provided they serve to clarify some identifiable problems in mechanics, and provided the significance of results is explained. Similarly, experimental papers must add physical insight in to the understanding of mechanics. The Journal continues to publish articles in English in all areas of Mechanics from the physical and mathematical basis to materials engineering, technological applications and methods of modern computational mechanics, both pure and applied research. The following topics are covered: Mechanics of materials; thermodynamics; elasticity; plasticity; creep damage; fracture; composites and multiphase materials; micromechanics; structural mechanics; stability vibrations; wave propagation; robotics; energy conversion and conservation, turbo-machinery, heat transfer equipment, furnaces and boilers contact; friction and wear; optimization, identification; the mechanics of rigid bodies; biomechanics, material response, structural reliability, or device performance, liquid and gas dynamics, solid and structural mechanics, bio-mechanics, multi-body system dynamics, rigid body dynamics, non-Newtonian fluid dynamics, micro/nano mechanics, stochastic processes, transport phenomena, heat transfer, coupled problems, control and optimization, computer graphics, CAD/CAM etc. Variational formulations and numerical algorithms related to implementation of the finite and boundary element methods, finite difference and finite volume methods and other basic computational methodologies. |
